Services

The team at Tuakau Physiotherapy can help you with the following.

If you are suffering from aches, tightness or stiffness physiotherapy can help you get back to work or enjoying your sport and fitness. All our physiotherapists are trained in a range of techniques including exercise therapy, posture, walking and balance retraining, and massage and mobilisation techniques for the muscles and joints.

Acupuncture is very effective for reducing pain and inflammation, and is an excellent way to ease discomfort. Warrick has a postgraduate certificate in Acupuncture, and has also completed courses in dry needling and women’s health. Very fine needles are used in specific points on the body. This needling triggers signals in the nervous system, causing increases in the brain’s production of natural painkillers called endorphins. These substances are morphine-like chemicals that influence the body’s perception of pain. We use new, single patient use, sterile needles at each treatment.

Our physiotherapists are able to provide remedial massage and myofascial release techniques to alleviate muscle and joint pain, improve to flexibility, and
revitalise the body.

Connect Therapy is a total body assessment and treatment model, which allows clinicians to understand and treat the whole person. It teaches clinicians how to integrate science and clinical expertise in a functional, outcome based framework. Clients are assisted in finding ways to change movement patterns that are causing pain and helped to get back to doing the things they love.

Liz has been working in private practice for 21yrs treating spinal, sports and work related injuries. Her training and experience give her the ability to successfully treat a wide variety of clients including the gardener who can’t bend to plant vegetables to athletes who want to feel freedom in their body while improving performance.
